Honoring the Legacy of Lokraja Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj on His 151st Birth Anniversary
Shri Shivaji Preparatory Military School proudly celebrated the 151st Jayanti of our esteemed founder, Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, under the Shahu Saptah Vishesh initiative.
The celebration on 26th June 2025 began with a respectful garlanding of the statue and a lamp-lighting ceremony led by our Principal Sir, School Supervisor, and staff members. The program commenced with a soulful prarthana performance by our talented music students.
Students and teachers delivered inspiring speeches highlighting the visionary work and life of Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj. A powerful Powada performance by the students added patriotic spirit, followed by an impactful address by our school Principal Shri.Kumar More.
An exhibition of rare photographs of Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj and drawings by students was also presented in the assembly hall, enriching the celebration with creativity and history.
The event beautifully reflected the values and vision of our founder — a true icon of equality, education, and social reform.

Honoring the Legacy of Lokraja Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj on His 151st Birth Anniversary.
As part of the ongoing celebrations at Shri Shivaji Preparatory Military School, a documentary show on the life and legacy of Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj was screened in the assembly hall.
Students learned about his extraordinary contribution to social reform, education, and the foundation of our institution. The session inspired all to carry forward his values of equality and empowerment.

Shri Shivaji Preparatory Military School proudly celebrated International Yoga Day 2025 on 21st June, marking the 11th IDY under the unifying theme One Earth, One Health.
Our celebration featured an inspiring session on Yoga & Wellness inspired by Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi’s vision, and a vibrant yoga performance by our students, staff, and esteemed guests.

Academic Prize Distribution Ceremony at Shri Shivaji Preparatory Military School
Shri Shivaji Preparatory Military School recently organized its Academic Prize Distribution Ceremony with great enthusiasm. The Chief Guest for the event was Mr. Bhausaheb Karekar, Education Officer, Pune Zilla Parishad. He addressed the students, providing valuable guidance on confidence building and effective study management. The event was also graced by Mr. Gajanan Gosavi, a senior teacher of the school, as the Co-Guest. Students from both the senior and junior sections were honored with prizes for their outstanding performances in academics and extracurricular activities. Awards were presented for Best Boy of the Year, Inter-house Prose and Poetry Recitation, Quiz, and Drawing Competitions. Prize winners received medals, certificates, and books, while chocolates were distributed to the winning houses. The school Principal, Shri Kumar More, expressed his gratitude to the guests for their valuable guidance and congratulated the students on their achievements.

Annual Health Checkup at SSPMS
Shri Shivaji Preparatory Military School conducted its Annual Health Checkup with the support of Kolekar Hospital. Dr. Madhuri Kolekar (Dentist), Dr. Anand Lokmanya (General Physician), and their team carried out basic health screenings for students, ensuring their well-being. Disaster Awareness & Management Seminar
A powerful and insightful seminar on Disasters & Management Skills was conducted by Mr. Anil Dandekar, where students learned about handling earthquakes, bomb attacks, floods, and fires. With a beautiful and informative PowerPoint presentation, the session emphasized the importance of preparedness, quick response, and safety measures during emergencies. Disaster Management Workshop
Safety First! Our students had an insightful and hands-on experience at the Disaster Management Workshop conducted by the Fire Brigade. Ensuring a healthier future! Around 263 students from Std. 5th to 9th at Shri Shivaji Preparatory Military School received the (Japanese Encephalitis)JE vaccine during a successful vaccination drive conducted by Dalvi Hospital in collaboration with Pune Mahanagar Palika. Marathi Language Pride Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and pride at Shri Shivaji Preparatory Military School. The program began auspiciously with the sound of Tal-Mridunga and the atmosphere was bathed in Marathi colors. The students sang the melodies of Marathi culture through a powerful performance of Bharud and Powadi. Through that versatile artistic expression, one could experience the fragrance of the soil of Maharashtra.The program was moderated by Ms. Anurag Farande in a very effective and fluent style, which left the entire auditorium spellbound. On Shiv Jayanti, our Honorary Secretary Shri Malojiraje Chhatrapati and Yashraje Chhatrapati paid a heartfelt tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at his statue. The celebration included impressive fort models made by students and a large 30×40-foot rangoli of Shivaji Maharaj, honoring his legacy and bravery. The event was also attended by the management committee members, office bearers, and heads of various institutes and schools.

The hobbies at our school aims at developing interest in photography, music, band, commercial art , aeromodelling and ship modelling. Each hobby has its own instructor and the students can utilize their leisure time to develop hobby.
